What makes human oversight meaningful?

Give reviewers context, authority and a decision they can actually change.

By RegSpire™

RegSpire™ perspective

A person being present in a workflow does not establish meaningful oversight. If the action already happened, or the reviewer cannot reject it, the approval is largely ceremonial.

Place the review before the consequential action. Show the proposed outcome, the applicable policy and why intervention is needed. Give the reviewer time, authority and a clear escalation route.

Keep the decision bound to what was reviewed. A changed itinerary, supplier or content candidate may need a fresh approval. Retain who decided, the scope of that decision and the subsequent outcome.
